Description

This is a digital painting I did for a project for my Layout class. The assignment was to take a classic story or fairy tale and create a company that relates to the story in the service they provide. This was painted on my wacom in photoshop 7.

-------

I am a bit nervous posting this among so many very talented artists, but I wanted to get feedback on it, so forgive my lack of skill.

Get books by Loomis from fineart.sk, and practice constructing the body form. This one is rather inadequate yet - keep working hard.

Nice details on the lace. I also like how the skintone of her arm is affecting the color of her corset. Don't know if that's realistic, but it's still good to see that attention to lighting.

About "what is wrong," I'll go over what I would have done differently with the anatomy:

1) The head/face is a little too small for the torso, making her shoulders appear very broad and masculine.

2) The highlights on her panties (?) suggest that she's got something in there...

3) There's no indication of muscles on her neck.

4) Her eyes are too widely apart.

Hope it helps.

thank you thank you thank you....this is what I was looking for!! I think I accidently shortened her chin and I couldnt put my finger on what the major problem was with the face (good thing I have most everything on a seperate layer). I will readjust the (our right) eye and see if that helps. Any more comments very very welcome!
